Substantial Interaction A substantial interaction should be filed to capture ‘contact report’ worthy exchanges with constituents that are not related to an existing Plan, but may form the basis for a new plan. Substantial Interactions should only be filed on Interactions with a contact method of personal meeting or phone call. These interactions will captures discussions with Constituents at Events, our outside of a Plan, or when a Plan is not required. Note that Additional Solicitors cannot be added on a Substantial Interaction

Contact Reports A Contact Report can be filed for any Prospect with Plan and when there are substantive discussions that advance the relationship related to the Plan or Opportunity. These Contact Reports are normally Planned Steps that are a face to face meeting or phone call. Unplanned Contact Report are for unplanned substantive discussions with a Prospect that advance the plan (ie. Drop ins, unplanned phone calls)

Contact Reports The Comments area of a Contact Report is a mandatory open text field. The following information should be in every Contact Report:

For Individual records: Primary contact information for address, phone number, email Solicit codes and spousal information Employment history For Organizations: Relationship contact types Primary contact information Send your updates to records@uoguelph.ca, specify the Cannon Lookup ID and information you wish to update
