Anti-Fraud Hot Line

Back Ground

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Transparency International Pakistan (TIP) signed a five (5) year cooperative agreement, valued at U.S$ 2,964,668, on 22nd September 2010 at Islamabad for the "Anti-Fraud Hotline" Project. The objective of the Project is to ensure Transparency and prevention of corruption in the utilization of grant to be provided to Pakistan by USAID, including the US $ 7.5 billion of Kerry Lugar Bill.

Objectives Encourage citizens to pursue corruption related complaints as a victim or witness of corruption in projects; Prevent corruption during the tendering process Recovery of funds due to anti-fraud reporting Enhanced fraud awareness amongst citizens Education on Fraud and Corruption

What is ‘Anti-Fraud Hotline’

Toll-Free Hotline receives complaints of fraud Multilingual call center operators Website (Complaint management database) Workshops/ Seminars as part of ‘Raising Awareness’ campaigns Analyzing and Reporting of data collected.

In order to generate complaints, we need to be accessible to as many people as possible, to improve the chances of reaching people, who might have information of any fraudulent activity pertaining to USAID funded projects.

Marketing/ Advertising Marketing of Anti-Fraud Hotline is the lifeline of the project, as it results in higher number of calls, subsequently, generating complaints. There are various marketing mediums that are being utilized to promote the Anti-Fraud Hotline, such as; TV Cable TV Radio Newspapers Posters (Displayed at IP’s sites) Billboards
