Summary The story of Ozymandias is about a king from ancient Egypt. A traveler tells the poet about two huge stone legs stand in the desert and near them is a half sunken stone head in the sand. On the pedestal are words that inscribed on it that say “My name is Ozymandias, kings of kings look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!” Even though this is said, they only thing surrounding the stones and the head is an empty desert. From the poem, we can tell that Ozymandias was a cruel but also providing leader.
