Meeting with the Mayor & Vice Mayor July 2009 My Pitch ? We will hire 40 people. We will attract 500,000 visitors/year & collect big sales tax revenue. We will fit perfectly with the theme and natural beauty of Williams. I grew up in this business and it is not my first rodeo. Mayor Moore asked, “Well … when can you open??”
He then asked, “Well … WHAT DO YOU NEED?” When I told Mayor Moore that we could buy the property and open in less than 9 months, there was a bit of a pause …… He then asked, “Well … WHAT DO YOU NEED?” Sales Tax Rebates Water for animals/landscaping Waive your billboard ban Don’t slow us down
The City of Williams Expedited Permitting
The City of Williams Issued Billboard Variances
Partnerships Private & Government Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner
Because of the trust & flexibility of the City of Williams : Bearizona opened in 9 months even though it was the 2nd worst winter in history Bearizona’s annual attendance is over 350,000 visitors/year Bearizona collects over $500,000 per year in sales taxes for state/county/city Bearizona employ’s over 60 full and part time employees
THANK YOU !!
