Be Your Own First Tea Customer EVERYDAY!!! P R E P A R A T I O N Make sure the brew basket is clean – rinse with water if necessary. Insert a plastic liner in the Server and put lid on top of the server to hold in place. Place a filter in the brew basket. Use only 1 filter per brew. Open one pack of Tea and pour the entire contents into the filter. Level the tea in the brew basket and place the basket into brewer. B R E W I T R I G H T Make sure the “Brew Ready” light is illuminated to indicate the water is up to temperature Make sure the Tea Urn is clean and positioned under the brew basket. Press “Brew” and allow the brew cycle to finish before serving. IMPORTANT – NEVER SERVE TEA WHILE BREWING! Discard the spent tea leaves from the brew basket immediately after the brew cycle is finished. Never re-use spent tea leaves. Immediately place the lid back on the tea dispenser. C H E C K T H E T A S T E Before serving the customer, taste the tea. Does it smell and taste fresh? Is the tea too weak or too strong? How is the clarity of the tea? R E P L E N I S H M E N T The maximum hold time for tea is 8 hours or as directed by Timewise office. Never mix freshly brewed tea with old tea. Be sure the Tea Urn is empty and rinsed out before brewing again. Problem: Brew Cycle Will Not Start Probable Cause: No Water or No Power Remedy: Make sure the water lines and valves are open. Make sure the brewer is plugged in or check circuit breaker. Make sure the On/Off switch is working. Problem: Weak finished brew. Probable Cause: Lime build up, missing spray head, or missing brew funnel tip. Remedy: Use the deliming spring, replace spray head, or replace brew funnel tip. Problem: Bitter tasting. Probable Cause: Lime build up, dirty brew basket, dirty spray head, or dirty dispenser faucet. Remedy: Use the deliming spring. Clean and sanitize the spray head, brew basket, and dispenser faucet. Problem: Dry tea leaves remain in brew basket. Probable Cause: Spray head missing or clogged. Remedy: Clean the spray head. Use the deliming spring. If the problem cannot be solved by one of the above remedies, call for service. 1-800-366-5836 TROUBLESHOOTING
