Strip Mall Structural Remediation Problem: Strip mall canopy originally built with insufficient load bearing capacity. Symptom: Canopy pulling away from building’s superstructure and tilting downward creating hazardous conditions from potential collapse of canopy.

Strip Mall Structural Remediation Remediation Work: Shored and jacked tilting canopy to level position. Installed 125 ft. of steel beams and columns. Anchored columns to steel reinforced concrete footings. Replaced canopy framing with structurally sound framing secured to building’s superstructure. Replaced existing roof with modified bitumen roof. Wrapped columns in brick. Wrapped beams in stucco.
