Presentation transcript:

America Makes PLM System PLM for America Makes -“product” is defined as the information, documentation and data needed to perform the business and deliver information assets to America Makes and its stakeholders. America Makes is the nation’s leading collaborative partner in additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing (3DP) technology research, discovery, creation, and innovation. Structured as a public-private partnership, we innovate and accelerate AM/3DP to increase our nation’s global manufacturing competitiveness.

Summary The MAMLS Program is a unique partnership between government and industry to enable rapid transition of advanced manufacturing into AF sustainment operations and sustainment supply chains. - The broad-based program structure has enabled development of multiple technologies to address sustainment issues. The ability to team research personnel with maintenance personnel has yielded substantial benefits for AF sustainment and reserve operations. The workforce development mission of America Makes has enabled MAMLS to not only develop/demonstrate advanced technologies, but to train sustainment personnel on their use as well. MAMLS is continuing the pursuit of breaking down barriers for advanced manufacturing implementation through the challenging Phase 2 direct part demonstration programs and Phase 3 program in development.
