Current Occupation H.C.Brill TPM Coordinator Enjoys his job Works on reducing costs and continually leads plant towards improvement H.C.Brill is an industrial bakery that makes cakes, cookies, and pastries for grocery store bakeries and restaurant chains. Educational Information Graduated from Mercer in 2007 with a B.S. in Industrial Management and Economics and had minors in Math and Business Administration Working on Six Sigma Black Belt and CQE Planning to get MBA Worked at General Steel in Macon, Ga CQE – Certified Quality Engineer. An MBA is needed to become a plant manager. Work Environment Different routine every day Lead meetings to implement TPM and reduce costs Need communication skills and some analytical and computer skills Comparable or above average benefits 45-50 hours a week Does not work weekends He is involved in every department of the business. Career Choice One year in graduate school Accepted job at H.C.Brill in September 2008 Found job through career builder by accident Always thought that a career in engineering would be interestng Sees himself as a production or plant manager of a manufacturing facility in 5-10 years He hadn’t had any luck on career builder, and one day he hit quick apply to roughly 120 jobs it suggested and he was interviewed the next week.
