British Settlements Why were the settlements small before the war? They were afraid of Indian attacks What does the size of the English settlements tell you about their perception of Indians?

British Settlements Colonists are victorious… What happens to the settlements after the war? The settlers crossed the Appalachian Mountains in greater numbers

Beliefs of the British Colonists They were entitled to the land that they had gained from France They wanted to settle the land by building permanent settlements. What is a permanent settlement?
