As per the direction's given vide ECI letter No.491/IEC/2010/NRV/26/08/2010 and CEO office letter No.CEO/NVD/colls/2010 dt.01/01/2011, National voters day has been celebrated in the Collector Office, Ahmednagar on 25/01/2011 at a.m., The detailed report of NVD celebration in respect of district level is as under The National Voter's Day was celebrated in Ahmednagar District with a great enthusiasm on 25th Jan Few highlights of the same are mentioned as under. Invitations and posters banners and distribution of Pledge The printed invitation letters were issued through BL.O.s and 1260 booklets, badges and copies of Pledge distributed to the 14 tehsil We have displayed 460 posters and 10 Banners and Flex Board (Size 6'x4' ) at main places of the City. and Invited all political parties representatives, Principal and Headmaster's of the respective polling station locations for this celebration. Essay and Slogan Competition Prize Distribution An essay and slogan competition's were organized for youth. The subject for the essay was " Role of New Voter's in the Democracy ". This competition has been orgnaized by the Education Officer (Higher Sec), Z.P., Ahmednagar. The committee has been set up for the selection. First and Second prizes has been awarded to the winner's of essay and slogan competition. BACK

A huge Prabhat Pheri has been organized in the Rahata Taluka on 25/01/2011 at hrs. BACK

A huge youth rally has been organized in the city by Dist. Sports Officer, Ahmednagar and Dist. Youth Co-ordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ahmednagar and Dist Information Officer, Ahmednagar on 25/01/2011 at hrs. in presence of Hon'ble Collector, Ahmednagar as the chief guest. After passing through major places in the city, the rally ended at collector office, Ahmednagar BACK

Primary and Secondary students were present for the rally. The District Election Officer inaugurated the chain and the NVD and Democracy slogans were displayed and pronounced in the said Prabhat Pheri BACK

Press Conference Press conference was conducted at collector office on 24/1/2011 Publicity – Audio Clip was recorded at district level and broadcasted by Akashwani Ahmednagar from 13/1/2011 to 25/1/2011. All multiplex and theaters in district displayed slides of NVD. Cable operators displayed clip on local channels in district from 17/1/2011 to 25/1/2011. BACK

NVD ceremonies at Polling Station Locations in the district – The NVD was celebrated at 1922 polling station locations in the district. All the Booth level officers of concerned electoral parts were present at the time. Firstly the pledge was administered to the voters and the new voters were felicitated with the badge and EPIC at the hands of BLOs and Head masters of the concerned school. BACK
