PATHWAY MODEL OVERVIEW 3 TIERS WITH 3 DIFFERENT LEVELS TIER 1 – COACHING DEVELOPMENT LEVEL 1, 2 & 3 TIER 2 – STRENGTH & CONDITIONING SCHOLAR LEVEL 3 ONLY TIER 3 – OFFICIATING & EVENT MANAGEMENT LEVEL 1, 2 & 3 PATHWAY MODEL OVERVIEW

HOW THIS LINKS TO OUR TENNIS PROGRAMME COACHING DEVELOPMENT Coaches are involved with our programme which holds up to 15 sessions a week (Cardio Tennis, Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced…) The link with the Exeter Tennis Centre programme allows them to increase coaching hours if needed. S&C Delivering warm up, fitness sessions with our BUCS 3&4s programme & travelling to away matches with the teams. OFFICATING/EVENT MANAGEMENT Assist delivery of student tournaments (e.g. Club Champs, Christmas tournament…) & shadow referees at Exeter Tennis Centre. HOW THIS LINKS TO OUR TENNIS PROGRAMME

COACHING DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY LEVEL 1 For any student looking to gain a coaching qualification with the intention of going forward and completing Level 2 & 3. General discounts on courses. LEVEL 2 10 places available. Looking to develop their coaching further. Receive discounts, mentoring, support & workshops. LEVEL 3 2-4 places available. Application & interview process. Receive discounts, mentoring, support, workshops relating to exit routes and career focused. COACHING DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY

STRENGTH & CONDITIONG PATHWAY LEVEL 3 Ideally a Sports Science candidate with a Level 1 coaching qualification. Application and interview. Term 1 – shadow S&C coach. Term 2 & 3 – deliver some sessions. Following term – deliver warm up, fitness sessions for BUCS 3&4s and deliver them at away matches. Receive mentoring (set a career plan), support and workshops. STRENGTH & CONDITIONG PATHWAY

OFFICIATING/EVENT MANAGEMENT LEVEL 1 Discount on competition organiser course. Assist with delivering EUTC tournaments. LEVEL 2 Applications for Student Officiating Academy, training to be line/chair umpires. Shadow tournament referees at Exeter Tennis Centre. Receive mentoring, support & workshops. LEVEL 3 2-4 places available. Application & interview process. Discount on referee course, mentoring, support & workshops. OFFICIATING/EVENT MANAGEMENT
