USACE New Madrid Seismic Zone Rehearsal of Concepts

Purpose Provide Senior Leaders with an overview of USACE’s New Madrid Earthquake response plan and rehearse the initial operational phases in order to ensure a synchronized effort that fully supports and integrates with the Interagency response. *Class is probably very different from any other training you’ve had in the corps *NO death by power point. *We try to find delicate balance….mission information vs. coordination and communication. *WEEK LONG INTERVIEW…not everybody will be selected for the cadre. *We use HUMOR in this class in order to keep it lively and interesting. and HUMOR is important for this role (for your own sanity)….However, know that it is NOT always appropriate. You may be working with local officials who are under tremendous stress and may have suffered personal loss.
