CHAPTER 1 REVIEW – MISCONCEPTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS

STEM AND LEAF Create a stem and leaf for the data, then split stems. It is OK to round data if you are creating a graphical display. We are only interested in a general shape of the data. What 3 things must be addressed when describing a distribution?

HISTOGRAMS What is a histogram? How does it display data?
