2015 MISSION STATEMENT The DFW Chapter of NACE is committed to providing an environment in which both individual and professional growth will thrive. Education will be an ongoing process, thus benefitting the catering and events industry and the community we serve.

2014 CHAPTER GOALS Maintain Chapter retention of 65% and increase membership by 15 new members. Action Plan: Focus on membership retention by increasing value added benefits through programs, education and networking opportunities to current members. Focus on membership growth by promoting membership campaigns and creating local incentives

2014 CHAPTER GOALS Develop an effective and consistent communication plan that will reach our current membership and prospective members as well as increase NACE visibility in the Dallas / Fort Worth Community. Action Plan: Create a consistent communication plan through the use of email blasts and newsletters to the membership. Develop relationships with local media to increase local press. Expand social media networking to increase exposure of the DFW chapter to the community as well as its members.

2014 CHAPTER GOALS Increase Chapter community involvement to create awareness and connectivity within the community that we live and work in. Achieve 2000 volunteer hours in the calendar year of 2014 from membership. Action Plan: Create and promote volunteer opportunities to membership and encourage participation in personal community service projects. Create volunteer of the year award.

2014 CHAPTER GOALS Increase educational opportunities for members through chapter programs, webinars and other educational offerings. Action Plan: Create educational moments for chapter programs, utilize webinars and other educational methods to provide information on topics that will be of interest to the membership. Keep Marketing and Munchies – push the National Webinars and email specific members who would benefit.

PROGRAM TOPIC: Photography PROGRAM IDEAS PROGRAM TOPIC: Photography Speakers: (4) Photographers The Mamone’s, Carpe Vita Photography, Thisbe Grace Photography, Perez Photography Format: Invite people to bring their camera with questions etc. Divide room into (4) and put a group of (4) tables per area. People will sit at tables and each photographer will address the basics of photography, what to look for, what to avoid etc. Guests can ask specific questions about their camera, learn tips and tricks etc. Each area would need its own screen and projector. Décor: Table décor could be simple but each photographer could have a display of their photos on easels in their area. Entertainment Ideas: Green Screen, Photo booth Activity: Baby Photo contest - have members submit baby photos and we post them and see who can guess the most right.
