Princess Elizabeth School

Panther Pride! being a good citizen!

School Citizenship I am expected to Make an honest effort to do well Keep my hands to myself Keep my feet to myself Keep my words to myself Use technology responsibly

School Readiness I will Take off my hat and/or hood when entering the school All outer wear will be kept in lockers. Gym clothes should be in a separate small bag. Go to my locker to get ready for the day Only used upon arrival and breaks. Be on time and prepared for every class

Respect and Manners I will Use good manners when talking to anyone in the building Say “please”, “thank you”, “excuse me” or “pardon” when asking for something treat ALL PEOPLE in the school with respect

Academic Excellence I am expected to Be organized and have all items needed for class This includes my notebook, pens, pencils, calculator, phys. ed clothes, etc… keep my locker organized and tidy (garbage in the garbage)

Lunch Time I am expected to Eat lunch/stay in my homeroom until 12:20pm Choose one location at 12:20pm and remain there until the bell Respect and comply with the adults who are supervising

Noon Hour 12:20pm – 12:35pm options Gym – physical activity Technology lab – school technology use Mrs. Garland’s room – personal technology use Outside - school yard

Cell Phone Use In Class A privilege, not a right! I am expected to Ask permission first (teacher’s choice) Use only for calculator or music Have one ear bud in, one out at all times so that i can hear the teacher Place phone face down on desk at all times (absolutely no texting, snapchat, photos, etc)

Cell Phone Use In Class IF RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED 1ST TIME - Warning 2ND TIME – PHONE kept with teacher AND RETURNED AT THE END OF THE DAY Don’t like the rules? Leave your phone home!

Responsible Technology Use The following rules are in place at all times and for all activities: No pictures of students or staff No videos of students or staff No music with inappropriate lyrics

End of Day School dismissal Is at 2:35pm All students are expected to remain in their classrooms until the bell Please do not run through the hallways!

Summary I will always behave in a manner that is respectful. I understand that being responsible and on my way to being an adult means that I do the right thing all the time, not just when I am being supervised. Just because I want to do something doesn’t mean it’s my right to do it. I am accountable for my actions.
