Building a Tractor from junk A Group working and creativity in “Tomer” kindergarten Kibbutz Matzuba The teacher: Edna Seri Ppsedit by Efrat Srebro

Once a week “Tomer” class spends time in their “camp” , in the nature. The camp is a small field in the kibbutz with trees and a pile of junk that the teacher and the parents collected and brought to that place The purpose of the ”camp” is to enable the children to create their “toys”, to arrange their activities independently, to work in groups ,to find opportunities to develop their leadership and to enjoy the natural environment. There are safety rules that the children are aware of The teachers are watching that the children are not doing dangerous things and they are guiding the children to solve their problems.

This is our “Camp”

One group found a pile of junk and decided to turn it into a Tractor
