About us… 3.5 Million 60,000+ 55 12 STPs Population 3.5 Million Healthcare Workforce of 60,000+ 55 Member Organisations 12 South London Boroughs 2 South West & South East London The Health Innovation Network is the Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) for South London, one of 15 AHSNs across England. We connect academics, NHS commissioners and providers, local authorities, patients and patient groups, and industry in order to accelerate the spread and adoption of innovations and best practice, using evidence-based research across large populations. Working as catalysts of change across health and social care economies, we enable health improvements and economic growth. STPs Mention we work closely with UCLP and Imperial AHSNs and although we focus on south London we always share our work for spread and adoption

MH Programme focus MH Crisis –SIM Meds optimisation PH & MH Digital Innovation Exchange Mention that SIM and Meds Optimisation are NHSE and local priorities ;

SIM Serenity Integrated Mentoring Focusses on the small number of service users struggling with complex mental health disorders who encounter emergency teams on a regular basis. (S136) Developed by Paul Jennings NIA fellow Mention that SIM is an NHSE for national spread ; SIM London reports into London Mental Health Transformation Board

Explain this is a very brief overview all link to website are at the end of presentation. Unique to SIM is that the SIM Police officer is on an NHS honorary contract working 9-5 in a MH team , key to the success of the model is the care and response plan which is shared with LAS , and Police and ED depts . Police are currently fundin the SIM Police officer likely PO will cover more than one borough until evidence demonstrates need for more .

Integrating PH & MH Detecting AF VISIBLE (vision screening to improve balance and prevent falls ) Diabetes and IAPT Diabetes Type 1 Consultation tool These are some of the examples of where the HIN is working with MH providers to improve the integration of PH & MH Kardia machines to detect AF are being used in all 3 south London MH trust Healthy Ageing programme : Vision screening is being implemented in one MH trust to prevent falls HIN Diabetes programme promoting joint Diabetes clinics with IAPT services . The Type 1 tool measures psychological impact alongside PH impact of diabetes to enable diabetes specialists to treat whole person Vision screening to prevent falls is being implemented in SLAM in and OP settings The HIN diabetes programme is involved with developing links with IAPT and diabetes providers

NHSE Priorities Meds Optimisation - NHSE Priority NHS Innovation Fellows (FREED) Digitalhealth.London Accelerator speeds up the adoption of technology in the NHS Innovation Exchange – facilitating conversations with industry innovators Currently scoping project Meds Op likely to focus on Transfer of Care We host digital accelerator programme part of digital health .London , we provide support and introduction to relevant companies that have applied successfully to be part of the accelerator programme , maybe relevant to introduce some of the MH digital companies to this commissioners network
