Write on double spread page! What happened on the Western Front in 1914? Lesson Aim: To teacher others about what happened on the Western Front. TASK: Write down anything you can remember about the Western Front in 1919, they key words below may help! Schlieffen Race

Difficult things to fathom! Morocco 1905/1911 French had visions of taking over Morocco. Kaiser Wilhelm made a speech supporting Moroccan independence – French angered. At a 1906 the Kaiser was humiliated as his views were rejected. 1907: In wake Britain, France and Russia formed the Triple Entente. Add to storyboard……

1911: French tried to invade again – said they would compensate Germany for any loss in trade. Germany sent a Panther boat to Agidir. Result: Another conference – France took control of Morocco and Germany was given land as compensation. French/Royal Navy agreed to patrol the Mediterranean.

The Balkans 1908: Austria took of Bosnia. 1910-11 Local wars – Serbia came to be the most powerful Balkan state. Austria looking for a reason to crush Serbia. Murder of Archduke Ferdinand good excuse.
