Extended Essay Each quarter one or more assignments showing progress on the extended essay will be due. If students have completed these assignments and are on track, they will receive an ‘S’ (satisfactory) on their report card. A ‘U’ will mean that they have not kept up with the extended essay timeline.

Exam Fees There are two student fees for IB: Registration fee: $172 Exam fee: $119/course KenTon District will pay the registration fee for students pursuing the complete diploma and 3 exams 3 exams @ $120 = $360 Free or Reduced Lunch deadlines

IB Assessments Internal (IA) – scored here and moderated External (EA) – scored by IB teachers somewhere else Includes: Written Assignments in Languages, Musical Investigation in Music, Art Exhibition in Visual Art, TOK paper Papers (Exams): 2 to 3 in each course, May 2020
Earning an IB Diploma 24 points needed for diploma 4 x 6 = 24 12 point must come from HL courses Each IB course scored out of 7 CAS, TOK and EE must be completed TOK and EE can add up to 3 points

IB Registration Checklist sign and return course selection worksheet and the registration checklist to DP coordinator (Mr. Lasch) receive the Kenmore East IB Handbook which includes the school academic honesty policy
IB Registration Checklist In addition, I understand to earn an IB diploma my student needs to do all of the following: earn passing grades in each IB class on the IB created internal and external assessments (specific explanation of scores needed can be found in the “General IB Regulations” document on our website) complete CAS (Creativity, Action, Service) requirements achieve a passing grade on the extended essay and in the TOK class my student must sit for all IB assessments and complete all internal assessments involved in each course each family will be responsible for the exam fees for each course, approximately $360 ($120/course x 3 courses) though federal funding may be available for students on free and reduced lunch I am agreeing to abide by the International Baccalaureate rules and regulations outlined in the “General Regulations for Parents and Student” document on the KE IB website
