What are AP Classes? AP Classes are: Equivalent to entry-level college classes. Standardized across the world. Known for their rigor of curriculum. What are AP Classes?

What are some benefits of the AP Program? Teachers are often have more content-area learning and experience. Classes teach the skills needed to be successful in college. Students gain academic credibility and flexibility for college. What are some benefits of the AP Program?

What are some challenges of taking AP classes? Increased workload. Faster pace needed to finish the curriculum. Students must learn to take responsibility for their own learning. What are some challenges of taking AP classes?

What is it like to take an AP class? We work every day, and class moves quickly. Classes emphasize higher-level thinking and analysis. Students are responsible for their own work, make-ups, projects, etc. What is it like to take an AP class?

What are benefits to taking AP Tests? Students gain credits for entry-level classes. Students save money on tuition or can take other classes. Colleges have a way to compare you to other students. What are benefits to taking AP Tests?
