The Hagia Sophia 537 AD -The primary church in Constantinople. The name means Holy Wisdom. Rebuilt by Emperor Justinian I (527-565). In 1453, the Ottomans made Hagia Sophia a mosque and is now a museum. -The church was the most important church of the Christian East.
