Stewardship Team Meeting 11/10/11 CCSS Toolkit Update Stewardship Team Meeting 11/10/11

CCSS Toolkit Update Designed for three audiences Teachers, Administrators, Parents and Students 4 step process Getting Started Developing a Plan Implementing the Plan Monitoring and Modifying Debuted at the October Worksession Suggestions for revisions from administrator group based on Colorado Toolkit These four steps outline the original design

Terminology Changes for Steps? Administrators really liked Colorado’s design which aligns with what we had created Still a 4 step process, but new wording for those phases Awareness & Dissemination Transition Implementation Not sure about 4th step name: 1. Transformation 2. Monitoring and Modifying 3. Continuous Improvement 4. School Improvement & Monitoring

Steps within each phase Menu shows you the steps within the phase you have chosen Each phase will now have a series of steps that can be followed Menu on the right will highlight which phase you are in (bold text) and allow you to navigate to each of the steps as well as jump to other phases within the process

Links to resources/activities for each step Each step is color coded based on the phase you are in and lists information and/or activities that can be completed for that step

Resource page for each phase Each phase will have its own resource page for easy access to all the materials from that phase

Goal: first two phases live by end of 2011 What’s Next? Engaging teachers in discussion of what the toolkit organization might look like for them Since purposes for toolkit are different for different audiences, design may be different as well Populating steps with current material first Once design is completed, will begin considering where the October resources fit and which can be added quickly Goal: first two phases live by end of 2011

Where can I find the toolkit? Created a GO link for easy access http://www.ode.state.or.us/go/ccsstoolkit Come to the COSA meeting at Salishan for the next preview!
