Warm up 1. Mathematics are my favorite subject in school. Instructions: If the following sentences are correct, write the word correct. Otherwise, fix the verb so that it agrees with its subject.Do not write the sentences down only write the corrected verb or the word "correct". 1. Turning in Close Reading Grab your laptops and sign into google classroom. Every Friday, before you turn in your close reading assignment, you will fill out an online answer sheet. You must have a rationale for every answer. This should just be a direct copy from your answer sheets. Click on the link to the form and fill it out. #37 just put the answer A and NA for the rationale. You have 10 minutes. To turn it in.

Constructed Response We have read examples of tone in nonfiction, fiction, and poetry. Pick an example from each genre and explain how the author expresses tone through the work. How do they differ between the genres and how do they compare? The response must be one paragraph in length and it must include three quotes. It must address the tone and follow the CR template on the next slide. You will have the rest of the class period to complete.
