Standard 1C: Physical Place KNOW The U.S. is a diverse region containing every type of landform, & almost every type of climate. The main climates are humid subtropical, humid continental, & desert/steppe (dry). Most of the East has a forest biome while the Southwest has a semiarid & desert biome, and the Midwest has a grassland biome.
