Keynote Speaker-2: Assoc Keynote Speaker-2: Assoc. Prof Dr Fawnizu Azmadi Hussin Challenges for the Internet of Things Development in the Interconnected World Fawnizu Azmadi Hussin is currently the Director of Strategic Alliance at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP). He spent one year as a Visiting Professor at Intel Microelectronics (Malaysia)s System-on-Chip DFx Department in 2012-2013 where he worked on low power built-in-self-test approaches for a mobile microprocessor. BSc, Electrical Engineering: University of Minnesota (1999), M.Eng.Sc.: University of New South Wales (2001), PhD, Nara Institute of Science and Technology in Japan (2008) ”Core-based testing of system-on-chips (SOC) and network-on-chips (NOC)” which won an award at the ASP-DAC 2008 Student Forum. Research interests: VLSI design and test especially in core-based testing, SOC and NOC. Currently works on: test and debug of ICs, including design-for-test, built-in-self-test and test scheduling. He has filed five patent applications and published more than 100 research papers. He is actively involved in various committee positions with the IEEE Malaysia Section since 2009. He was the Chair of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Malaysia Chapter (2013 & 2014) and currently the Vice Chair of IEEE Malaysia Section (2017 & 2018).
