What are social action videos and what do they do?

To raise awareness

Over the next few slides You will watch and discuss social issues form around the globe. Some are old but the campaigns are relevant. Some you will have no idea about, others you will have an awareness. Some you may not care about but hopefully the content will raise an emotion of anger or sadness as most are disturbing. If nothing else – they should all leave you aware of situations you may never have known about

Joseph Kony: Global social concern 55 Leader of LRA (Lords resistance Army) 88 wives 42 children (2016) Kony has been accused by government entities of ordering the abduction of children to become child soldiers and sex slaves. 66,000 children became soldiers and he displaced 2 million people in 20 years in his home of Uganda. Self proclaimed spokesman of God Kony was indicted for War Crimes and Crimes against humanity but has evaded capture
