Presentation transcript:

Warm Up 1/16 Of the following questions, which of the following is most interesting to you: How Shakespeare utilizes sex in Hamlet – what does it mean? How Shakespeare incorporates the Bible in Hamlet – what does it mean? Is any character “marked for greatness?” How is poison used, both literally and figuratively? What does identifying a character’s MBTI personality reveal about the character and the play?

Learning Targets I can apply one of three psychological theories to my favorite character from Hamlet. I can work with a group to find answers to assigned study guide questions.

Independent Task – Writing Topics Complete the following tasks: Going back to your warm up, pick the question/topic about Hamlet that is most interesting to you. In 3-5 sentences, write a clear and thorough response to the question you chose. Look through your notes to find a few quotations from that character that you could use if you were to expound upon your response to number two.

Study Guide Groups Each group gets TWO questions. Answer the question by using the text, and indicate the line number. Work TOGETHER: DO NOT divide and conquer.
