Website Project World War II

Website Project - Each group (4 students) will create a website using Weebly.com There will be different tabs in each website. Each website will have at least 3 labeled tabs (social, political, and economic). Each group must explain how each area (social, political, and economic) is related to their topic of the war. Each group will submit a typed essay (500 words) that will be submitted on the due date. The essay will also be divided into the following areas: - Social (culture, art, religion, music. language) - Political (government, dictators, leaders) - Economics (technology, military jobs, housing)

Topics & Events The topics and events must be related to the assigned chapter/section from the textbook. Example: Chapter 10, Section 1 Topic/Event – Dictators The project will be about the social, economic, and political events that are related to the topic or event.

The project has three (3) parts The project has three (3) parts. Part 1 – PowerPoint - Create and Present (One per Group) their project. Part 2 - Present (each person) must summarize their portion. Use index cards (3-4 cards) when presenting the PowerPoint. Part 3 – Essay - Each group need to create a 500 words essay that talk about their topic. Submit the essay in the end of each presentation for points. Submit all the index cards in the end of each presentation for points.

Information Resources -The information for the project can come from various sources (books, textbook, internet). - Reference Page must be included in the end of the newspaper to cite your sources.

Presentation Requirements Oral Presentation -Loud, clear, look at the audience. Index Cards Each student must use 2-3 index cards to summarize of their section of the website. Total Group Presentation Time - Five (5) minutes minimum - Eight (8) minutes maximum. Visual -Each website must have several pictures, graphs, maps and any other related visual that can enhance the project presentation.

Evaluation value (400 Points) Website Presentation (200 Points) - Facts & Information -Presentation (Loud, clear, eye contact with the audience) Essay - 500 Words (175 Points) (Essay format – Introduction , Body, Conclusion.) Time Management (25 Points) Five to eight (5 - 8) Minutes per group. Anything below or over will result in points deducted.

Audience The instructor will monitor the following: - Students paying attention, no sleeping. -Talking & disrupting. - Use of cell phone or any electronic device. * Any violation from the list above will result in disciplinary procedures and loss of points from the student’s project.
