Old: Position Approval Workflow Roles that can initiate or move position requests forward vary depending on the position action being taken *Animation – show action approval steps in current system -As Eliz mentioned earlier, are major changes to workflow in PATH. Currently, initiator of request sets workflow before action gets to HR, selecting 1st, 2nd, 3rd approvers {DOUBLE CLICK} In PATH, workflow proceeds by assigned user role. User roles that can initiate actions vary depending on what action is being taken. Liaisons & Hir Supv can initiate actions; in some cases others can. There are a min. # of steps required to get an action thru approval chain but workflow allows for a wide variety of approval processes depending on Dept or Div requirements. Certain steps in workflow can be skipped. In case of this action, I’m Liaison working on new position. When ready to transition this on, you see the pop-up box. I can send to Supv, or if I’m doing this on their behalf, I can bypass & transition to Dept. Head. What you see in the workflow actions box are the only actions you can take, so you won’t bypass approvers you shouldn’t.
Position Description and Posting are now connected In a teaser to what you’ll see next in Cheryl’s presentation on the Applicant Tracking module, THE WAIT IS OVER - the PATH system can finally do what you’ve always wanted it to do – create a posting from a PD! I’ll let Cheryl get to that more in a minute, but I couldn’t wait to share this with you because you’ve been asking for so long. Having said that, I thank you for the opportunity to give you a preview of the Position Mgt. system in PATH. I’m really excited about using PATH & I hope you’re ready to get on the PATH!
