Love: A Command of God “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." (Matt. 22:36-40)

Love: A Command of God Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. (Romans 13:8) Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:10)

Bible Love Always seeks best for the object of its affections – John 3:16. Promotes positive growth – Col. 3:14. Unconditional – Rom. 5:8. Motive for all that we do – 1 Cor. 13:1-3. Signifies our allegiance to Christ – John 13:34-35.
