The Principle of Separation
The Principle of Separation During the Mosaic dispensation, God intended that Israel dwell apart (Exodus 19:5-6; Numbers 23:4-10; Deuteronomy 7:1-6). Christians live in the world, but must not be of the world (John 15:18-19; 17:13-19; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
The Principle of Separation Israel sinned when they wanted to be like the surrounding nations (1 Samuel 8:4-9; 19-22; 12:12-18; Ezekiel 20:27-38). Let us, therefore, in like manner, recognize the need for distinctiveness (Romans 12:1-2; Titus 2:11-14; 1 Peter 2:9-12).
