College Day! Family Reading Night March 2nd 5:00-6:00 Counselor Corner Family Reading Night March 2nd 5:00-6:00 When you arrive, you will be Given a slip of paper with four Numbers on it. After each visit To a classroom, the teacher Will sign your slip. When you have Completed four activities, bring it down To the office and receive a ticket To be entered into a book drawing! At 6:00, there will be a performance of Ramona in the playatorium- there will be book signing and pictures available afterward. Bring your favorite “Ramona” books! The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) will be administered this Spring 2017. For elementary, the STAAR measures the statewide curriculum in Reading at Grades 3-5; Writing at Grade 4; Mathematics at Grades 3-5; and Science at Grade 5.  Your child will be participating in the following STAAR testing: Tuesday, March 28th 4th grade WRITING 5th grade MATH  Wednesday, March 29th 5th grade READING   Monday, May 8th 3rd & 4th grade MATH 5th grade MATH (retest)  Tuesday, May 9th 3rd & 4th grade READING 5th grade READING (retest)  Wednesday, May 10th 5th grade SCIENCE Family Game Night Fun! College Day! Family project this month is to create a poster/collage of your favorite college! Send this in to school for display.
