Richard Connell Attended Georgetown University for a year while working for his father (a congressman) Graduated from Harvard in 1915 Served in WWI Started freelance writing in 1919 In 1919 Married Louise Herrick Fox, a writer and editor They moved to Beverly Hills, CA in 1925 He worked for film studios United Artists, Paramount Studios, Universal, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer
