Presentation transcript:

PERSEVERANCE Perseverance is a CONTINUED EFFORT, usually over a long period of time, in spite of any setbacks, discouragement, or defeats. People who demonstrate PERSEVERANCE persist in reaching a goal no matter how long it takes or how many failures they encounter.

Click on the picture and watch a video about someone who knows a lot about PERSEVERANCE. https://edpuzzle.com/media/59bf0d6e0cb5fb49cf37b831

Wow! What stood out for you in that video? Find a partner to discuss what you think were a few of the most important messages (or have a whole class discussion).

Did you discuss the following? Overcoming obstacles to reach goals. Encouraging others who have obstacles. Choosing joy instead of ongoing suffering. Giving up or keep going. Realizing your perspective - how you view a situation - is powerful.

Think about your OBSTACLES. We all have obstacles. Some are physical. Some aren’t. Some are easier to control than others. Some we can overcome by ourselves; some require us to ask for help from others.

Now go answer the questions in your Advisory Google Classroom. Look for “Questions on Perseverence”.
