Instructor’s Take on Ideal Model Faculty need to be involved and driving increasing PR and lobbying Get involved in state education policy Have students speak to local community Building connections between regional CCs

Admin take on Model A targeted relationship approach is more effective than broadcasting in the long term We need to figure out ways to sustain efforts beyond an individual person's efforts Students are better at recruiting other students than faculty are. Administrators have a role in supporting creative activities, but also in evaluating their effectiveness. Perception and marketing! Institutional responsibility.

Big Ideas from Focus Groups Direct, targeted, personal interactions are essential; Building trusted relations are needed to establish and sustain diversity efforts. Needs are highly contextualized; need to think about needs that are specific to different population groups, different institutions.
