WHAT’S A LEAGUE TO DO???

LEAGUE PRINCIPLES GUIDE THE LEAGUE IN ALL WE DO The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization whose purpose is to serve the local community by promoting informed active citizen participation in government and by acting on selected governmental issues. The League does not support any candidate or Political Party.

HOW THE LEAGUE DEALS WITH ISSUES Observe a problem. Study the problem and discuss all sides of the issue. Reach member consensus on what needs to be done. Adopt a public policy position. Take action - public information meetings, letters, phone calls; meeting with those making decisions about an issue; testifying at public hearings. Litigate if all else fails.

PUBLIC POLICY POSITIONS IMPACT ON ISSUES (NATIONAL) WHERE WE STAND (PENNSYLVANIA) https://www.palwv.org/where-we-stand-lwvpas-position-on-the-issues/
