Scientists Ms. Tinkle’s Class

Choose Country Research all the countries of the world. Find one of interest to you. And remember the country you choose will be your country through the whole project!

Pick a Famous Scientists Albert Einstein Some Examples: Charles Darwin: England Albert Einstein: Germany Benjamin Franklin: U.S.

Find information Once you have picked your country and scientist..you are ready to find some juicy info about them. Avoid Wikipedia, Ask Geeves and non-credible sites Databases such as: Google Scholar and Inspire.net are good sources to find information. Do not copy and paste…use your own words.

Write 1 Page You now have information about your scientist and are an expert. Type a 1 page paper about your famous fellow or female. First make an outline to help you guide you writing. Write what you find interesting.

What to include.. Birthplace and date of birth Parents What made them famous? At least one interesting fact Rest is up to you surprise me!

Peer Revision Day On peer revision day bring in a copy of your paper. We will exchange papers with other students in the class. This will allow you to get a feeling of what other students wrote, so you can add stuff to your paper and make changes.

Cite your sources Make sure to cite your sources. You can use websites like Easybib.com. This keeps you from plagiarizing. We will discuss how to do in text citations in class.

Finally…Add a Picture of Your Scientists!!! And All Done. Turn in your paper Be ready to present at the fair!
