Basal Cell Carcinoma is excluded from the 2 week cancer pathway Maximum wait in days 2ww referral received in secondary care Provide information and psychological support 14 First Specialist Assessment Clinical History Physical Examination Holistic assessment and rehabilitation consideration Yes Is SCC or MM Suspected? No Patient discharged with information on self assessment and prevention First treatment? Initial biopsy of lesion 10 Is SCC or MM confirmed? No Pathology results discussed with patient Patient discharged with information on self assessment and prevention Yes 16-18 years old – refer to Paediatric Oncology (GNCC) for treatment and TYA MDT for discussion 19-24 years old – continue on tumour site specific pathway & refer to TYA MDT for discussion. Is further treatment required?
