Primary Care Information Governance Manager Starts w/c 15th October 2018, 5 days a week Work closely with Primary Care contractors including General Practice, Dentists, Pharmacies and Opticians. Establish good working relationships with those who seek information governance advice and solutions Provide specialist advice and support to designated Independent Contractors Data Protection Officers (DPO) Provide advice and guidance on complex IG related issues, including existing operational processes and procedures or new business initiatives.

Provide advice and guidance on how to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), including the collection and collation of evidence in support of (DSPT) submissions. Provide training in relation to Information Governance, including the development and provision of training materials to support IG, as required, and delivery of adhoc IG training that is not covered by the mandatory online IG/DSP training module. Develop and carry out data compliance audits with any contracted services, including compliance on the Data Security and Protection Toolkit;

Provide regular reports on data protection compliance to the senior management team and relevant committees within the CCGs. Advice for practices and the appointed project teams on IG/DSP, data sharing and cyber security considerations where projects involve Provide advice and support the CCG Information Sharing Programme Manager with any data sharing initiatives involving partner organisations and Primary Care; and any new initiatives involving sharing patient data with third parties. Attend Practice Manager meetings when required.
