Ks1 Playground Our class questionnaires showed that most classes wanted: Grass area More equipment for playtime and lunchtime Shelter Structure: Pirate ship Slides and swings Sandpit area

What this might look like: Garfield logo for sail We would like to raise money for play equipment

Ks2 playground Our class questionnaires showed that most classes wanted: More equipment for games A structure for climbing like the trim trail in KS2 Structure: Trampolines Swings or slides Monkey bars Castle for climbing Gym equipment

What this might look like: We would like our structure to include colours from the Garfield logo, especially green to blend into our environment. We would like flags with the Garfield logo. We know that this structure is very large and therefore we might need something smaller.

Castle Outdoor gym Quiet area Cage playground

Shade One of the biggest concerns in both KS1 and KS2 was shade. During the summer months it is very hot and there is no shade in the playgrounds. Some ideas for shade included: Tent area Cover over quiet area Plant area in ks2 – possibly linked to the structure.
