“Special Delivery”

Kristine came to school today with a special surprise Kristine came to school today with a special surprise! She said “this box came for you today! What do you think is inside?” We all came over to the box to take a peek. Hanna said she thought a new bike was in the box. Alison said she thought a new slide was inside. Then all of a sudden...

Out popped our teacher Amy Out popped our teacher Amy. She was able to fit in the box because it was SO BIG! Jerry tried to reach the top of it with his tippy toes because it was taller than him. We laughed because we said that Amy looked liked a ‘jack-in-the-box’. We asked Amy how she got into the box. She said that Kristine lifted it up and put it over her head!

Our teachers Amy and Jennie said we could play with the box outside Our teachers Amy and Jennie said we could play with the box outside. Jennie had to help Amy get out. We waited so that we could have a turn too. Many of us said that we could all fit in the box because it was so big. Jennie said “o.k., then lets see how many people can fit in the box”.

We were so excited when the box was opened up as a tunnel We were so excited when the box was opened up as a tunnel. We were screaming “yay” and “my turn”! Lots of the preschoolers began to squeeze into the box and it began to get squishy. Some of us just peeked inside at the other friends smiling and giggling.

Cassidy and Abby were sitting beside each other in the box Cassidy and Abby were sitting beside each other in the box. They were smiling and were asking the teachers to come find them. Jennie peeked on the wrong side and couldn’t see them. “You can’t find us Jennie!” said Abby. Other friends were waiting for their turn inside the box. Cassidy said that Ethan was pretending to be the guard of the box to protect them.

We were not able to fit all of the preschoolers in the box We were not able to fit all of the preschoolers in the box. All together, Ethan, Abby, and Cassidy counted “one, two, three, four, five people fit in the box”! Abby was smiling because she got a turn in the box and because she was going to be the ‘sister’. She asked Cassidy to be the ‘mommy’. Cassidy began to find some wood chips to be our food and shared them with Abby and Ethan. She said we needed to feed the dinosaurs when they came to our house. Thank you Kristine for bringing us our new house!
