Ebola Virus Disease: DRC Geographical distribution of the EVD cases in DRC, 30 June 2018 The MoH and WHO continue to closely monitor the EVD outbreak in the DRC Since 17 June 2018: No new confirmed case or death has been reported On 27 June 2018: all contacts to the last confirmed EVD case completed their mandatory 21-day follow up without developing symptoms. Since 4 April 2018: 55 suspected cases including 29 deaths have been reported 38 confirmed, 15 probable 3 suspected CFR in confirmed and probable cases is 54.7% The focus of the response remains on intensive surveillance, active case finding, investigation of suspected cases Risk Assessment: National level: Very high Regional level: High At global level: Low A total 3,330 people have been vaccinated Risk Assessment: National level: very high due to the serious nature of the disease Regional level: High confirmed case in Mbandaka, located on a major national and international river, increases the risk for further spread to neighboring countries. Rift Valley Fever: Kenya The RVF outbreak in Kenya continues to evolve, Since week 25, additional new 36 cases have been reported A retrospective epidemiologic investigation has established that the date of onset of illness in the index case was 11 May 2018 From 2 - 27 June 2018: 90 cases, including 10 deaths (CFR - 11%), have been reported from three counties 18 confirmed Risk assessment for RVF in humans and livestock identified eight counties as having high risk for RVF The human cases are herders who are epidemiologically linked to RVF livestock cases Geographical distribution of RFT cases in Kenya, May 11 - 27 June 2018 Public Health Measures: A national RVF TC is coordinating the response The ban on movement and slaughter of animals from affected and at-risk counties remains in place A total of 500 000 doses of RVF vaccine has been provided to high-risk counties, based on risk analysis So far, three counties have been affected: Wajir (78 cases, 6 deaths), Marsabit (11 cases, 3 deaths) and Siaya (1 case, 1 death). Risk assessment for RVF in humans and livestock identifed eight counties (Tana River, Tharaka Nithi, Garissa, Lamu, Kajiado, Baringo, Mombasa, and Nairobi) as having high risk for RVF outbreak. A total of 500 000 doses of RVF vaccine has been provided to high-risk counties, based on risk analysis

Cholera: Angola On 21 June 2018, the MoH in Angola reported a cholera outbreak in Luanda, the capital city. On 22 May 2018, the index case, a 29-year-old man presented to a local health facility with acute water diarrhoea (AWD) and received treatment as an out-patient The case patient died at home on 23 May 2018 A cluster of seven cases of AWD, with two deaths, were reported in the subsequent days following the funeral of the index case Since 22, May 2018: a total of 33 suspected cholera cases and six deaths (CFR -18.2%) have been reported from six regions 3 specimens have tested positive for cholera by culture Geographical distribution of cholera cases, Angola, 22 May - 21 June 2018 Public Health Measures: Active surveillance is ongoing Water quality surveillance is being carried out as well as analysis of environmental samples, including beverages and foods WASH activities are ongoing in affected areas The affected districts are Talatona (19 cases, 4 deaths), Belas (4 cases, 2 deaths), Kilamba Kiaxi (4 cases), Samba (3 cases), Viana (2 cases), and Maianga (1 case)

Weekly trend of cholera cases, Tanzania week 1 - week 25, 2018 Cholera : Tanzania The cholera outbreak in Tanzania Mainland continues In week 26 (ending 1 Jul 2018), 636 new suspected cholera cases including 13 deaths were reported, compared to 115 cases and three deaths reported in week 25. From January – 24 June 2018: a total 2,741 cases and 57 deaths (CFR - 2.1%) have been reported, as of 24 June 2018. Other Events Under Follow-up Cholera: Malawi Malawi is experiencing a new cholera outbreak in Salima district. From June 8, 2018, a total of 9 cases including 2 deaths have been reported Cholera: Nigeria Since 12 May 2018: a total 1,412 cases and 25 deaths (CFR - 1.8%) have been reported, as of 24 June 2018. Cholera: DRC From week 1 to 23: 11,582 cases with 308 deaths (CFR-2.7%) has been reported in DRC. This has been graded 3 by WHO Monkey Pox: DRC Since week 1, 2018: 1,210 suspected cases of Monkeypox including 28 deaths), have been reported. 34 cases confirmed Dengue Fever: Ethiopia Since 8 June 2018: 52 cases in the flood affected Gode Zone of Somali Region have been confirmed by laboratory Measles: Chad Since January 2018, 964 suspected cases with 44 deaths (CFR 5%) have been reported. 55 of the cases have been lab confirmed
