The Rainbow Week Plan Each year group chooses a colour and matching word from the rainbow Explain the rainbow flag and the significance to the LGBT community https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_flag_%28LGBT_movement%29 Discuss the meanings of their word of the week Choose a book for each year group from the PRIDE in Primary Collection Read the book together in your literacy time Learn and rehearse the accompanying song Perform at a parent assembly Dress in your chosen rainbow colour for the day Read from the chosen book to show progress in English Produce a rainbow display Produce art using your year groups word and colour as a stimulus Display the weeks work Present at your local showcase © Educate & Celebrate 2005-2018 All rights reserved
