Types Foundation Scholarships Institutional Scholarships

Foundation Scholarships Foundation Scholarships are private gifts from local donors. Each scholarship is unique and students must meet criteria as defined by the specific donor of the scholarship. 75 active scholarships Pays tuition, fees, and/or books Apply online at www.otc.edu\foundation

Institutional Scholarships Institutional Scholarships are provided by the college. Pays tuition & fees Can pay after A+ for misc fees not covered by the program

A+ Advantage Scholarship OTC is awarding 100 new scholarships to eligible A+ students without resources to pay for books or the misc. fees. $500 Value (up to $250 per semester) Students write a short essay on what A+ means to them

Institutional Scholarships New! A+ Advantage Chancellor’s Leadership Community Merit Chancellor’s Trustees’ First Generation Director’s First Place State Leadership Honor’s Scholarships

OTC INSTITUTIONAL SCHOLARSHIP STATS   $2,406,923 AWARDED TO 1,451 OTC STUDENTS SINCE 2013 ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS $1,000 AVERAGE AWARD PER SEMESTER 61% ARE FEMALE 20 IS THE MEDIAN AGE 69% OF RECIPIENTS ARE FIRST GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENTS RECIPIENTS BOAST A 10% HIGHER COMPLETION RATE THAN NON-RECIPIENTS (based on Fall 2013-Fall 2014 Recipients) 57% ARE TRADITIONAL AGE STUDENTS (18-24 YEARS OLD)

Community-Merit $2,000 annually - renewable Acts as tuition & fee waiver Criteria requires 2.50 GPA

Leadership Book Scholarship $1,500 annually - renewable $750 for books & required supplies Good for purchases at OTC Bookstore charged to the student’s account When recommending, look for a leader well respected by peers & teachers, even if GPA doesn’t always show it
