Adhesion procedure for CAD/CAM resin crown bonding: Reduction of bond strengths due to artificial saliva contamination  Asuka Kawaguchi-Uemura, Atsushi Mine, Mariko Matsumoto, Yuko Tajiri, Mami Higashi, Tomoshige Kabetani, Ryosuke Hagino, Dai Imai, Takuya Minamino, Jiro Miura, Hirofumi Yatani  Journal of Prosthodontic Research  Volume 62, Issue 2, Pages 177-183 (April 2018) DOI: 10.1016/j.jpor.2017.08.006 Copyright © 2017 Japan Prosthodontic Society Terms and Conditions

Fig. 1 Experimental procedure. (1) Wet-polishing with 400 grit silicon carbide paper. (2) Each group was further divided into four groups: positive control group (P-Co), negative control group (N-Co), sandblasting group (Sb) and acid treatment group (AT). All blocks were sandblasted using Adabrader for 20s and air dried for 10s. All specimens were then silanized for 10s. (3) Surface analysis: SEM observation, 3D laser analysis and contact angle measurement. (4) μTBS values (n=24 beams/group) were measured immediately after cutting blocks into beams. All remaining beams were stored in water. After 1 month, 3 months and 6 months of water storage, μTBS was measured. Fractured surfaces after μTBS measurement were analyzed.
