FLASH

Flash is a program which we used to create…..

Lesson Objectives To understand how to create a stop motion animation using flash. How many examples of stop motion animations can you think of?

The canvas Layers The Timeline

Key Frame: A key point in time Frame: A frame is a length of time, like a second or a minute. Each frame is the same length of time, but these can be shortened or lengthened Key Frame: A key point in time Key Frame Frame

Layers Just like in Fireworks and Dreamweaver you need to use Layers to organise your work. Each object that you want to animate needs to be on a different layer When working with lots of layers, it’s a good idea to rename them so you know which object is on which layer

Your turn Draw a person Enter a key frame at point 100 Insert key frames every 2 or 3 frames Alter/move the image Repeat until the person moves across the screen

Recap What is a frame? What is a key frame? How could we make it easier to animate the person?

Next lesson… We will create MOTION TWEENS which automatically make items move between frames.
