Mobile Personnel Info Retriever (MPIR) Team members: Jim Li, Makara Kov, Ahror Rahmedov

What is MPIR? A small application which can be run on a PDA Combines some features of GPS and instant messaging program.

What does it do? Automatically synchronizes with the server. Locates other clients with the same software in the same building. Lets other clients view one’s profile and shared information.

Can it be done? State of the wireless technology Risks Growth of WiFi enabled infrastructures Risks Difficulty in determining the MAC ID It may take longer than 7-8 weeks to complete The program may not fit in a PDA.
