Message Traffic HOLD STATUS Member has ongoing care requiring a resolution prior to a medical determination being made or before a message can be sent to the gaining command’s medical. MESSAGE REQUIRED Member has a medical condition that warrants a message being sent to the gaining command’s medical, to ensure the member’s needs do not exceed the commands capabilities.
Message Traffic: Hold Status Notify SSC: Message Traffic Office AFTER your primary care or specialty appointment resolving any pending medical concerns. MILITARY: Make sure that your Medical Provider makes a note in AHLTA. Please keep in mind that LAB results take additional days for the report to be in AHLTA. Call or Email us WHEN the information is in AHLTA. DEPENDENTS: Bring a copy of your medical report to the SSC or EMAIL them.

Message Traffic: Hold Status You will be called by the Message Traffic Office once the SSC Medical Provider reviews your medical report and determines ACCEPTANCE, DENIAL or if a MESSAGE must be sent to the Senior Medical Officer of the Gaining Command.
Message Traffic: Message Sent INITIAL MSG sent to your Gaining Medical Command Turn around time is 7-10 business days. Japan, Bahrain, and Europe take 3-4 weeks. Message Traffic: Message Sent UPON RECEIPT OF RESPONSE FROM GAINING MEDICAL COMMAND Screening packet will be returned to the SSC Medical Provider for Review and Signature. SSC Message Traffic Office will NOTIFY YOU once your packet is ready for pick up.
Message Traffic: Wavier If Member receives orders stating screening must be complete within 30 days of receipt and the timeline cannot be met due to SSC access to care, required completion of specialty care, or requirement of a message, a memo will be provided by the SSC staff to the member’s admin explaining the member is in the process of completing their suitability screening and that a letter should be drafted to PERs protecting the orders.
