We will being giving all parts of the Aspire this year so that you can get a true picture of your of how well your child is doing. The Test will give you a predicted ACT score. I also wanted to let the students and parents know that students will be able to exempt Final exams next year. You can exempt two subjects. Your Aspire test score for this year will decide what you can exempt. For example if you benchmark in math you can exempt math.

Understanding Your Child’s Score Report

Discover the benefits of AP together 4 - Year Plan Starts in 9th grade AP track will start in 7th 2 diploma track Standard Advanced Vocational School 10th Discover the benefits of AP together

Competitive advantage in college admissions Eighty-five percent of selective colleges and universities report that a student’s AP experience favorably impacts admission decisions. College credit for qualifying AP Exam scores Find colleges and universities that offer credit or placement for AP using the AP Credit Policy Search. Financial benefits Research shows that students who take AP are much more likely than their peers to complete a college degree on time. Greater course depth Students have the opportunity to dig deeper into subjects that interest them, develop advanced research and communication skills, and learn to tap their creative, problem-solving, and analytical potential. Preparation for college-level work AP courses give students access to rigorous college-level work. AP students build confidence and learn the essential time management and study skills needed for college and career success. Take the next steps together Encourage your child to talk to peers, counselors, and teachers to learn more about the benefits of AP courses and the specific process for enrolling in their school’s AP program.

AP begins in the 9th grade Take Honors - Biology, English Honors classes will get 5 points AP class will get 10 points Pass AP exams receive college credit We have to lay the foundation for our students. Our 6th grade teachers started it this year. 5th grade wanted to but their training was canceled. I want to stress to you that it is your transcript that is most important not your class rank. You have to have an advanced diploma to be in the top 10.
