If you have a protein expressed from one Promoter expressing gene X and Y with a pseudoknot x y You get protein x made, but The pseudoknot causes you ALSO to get both a fragment of x and y as a fusion protein because translation continues… in the -1 frame x y X fragment X fragment::y
